Century-Old Crape Myrtle Trees

The hotel grounds are adorned with crape myrtles, which burst into a breathtaking spectacle of colors in summer—white, red, purple, and turquoise myrtle. Among them, many have smooth, polished trunks and remarkable longevity. The oldest one stands over 10 meters tall and is estimated to be centuries old, making it a rare botanical treasure.

The flowers emerge from May to June and continue blooming until September, earning the nickname "Daylong Red". Rubbing its trunk causes the treetop to tremble, hence its playful name "ticklish tree."  It is also a natural air purifier, it effectively absorbs dust. In the past, the name of“crape myrtle”have 3 meanings: the palace of the God, the capital, and the executive secretariat of the officials. These trees, blending natural beauty with historical symbolism, enrich the landscape while bridging past and present.
