Sunrise at Jianlong Pavilion

Jianlong Pavilion is located at the eastern corner of Tongli Lakeview Hotel, the closest spot to see the sun slowly rise from the center of the lake, its golden rays shimmering on the water with fishing boats dotting the surface, is a sight you will never forget.

The pavilion is shaped like a dragon trailing its long tail. Its name comes from two lines of Su Shi's poem: "The hidden scales hold a hungry dragon, its tail swings to seize a thirsty tiger." This is a famous example in rhetoric, showcasing how Su Shi vividly and concisely conveyed a legend in just ten words. Mr. Zhang Dachun named it to name this pavilion as a dragon coiled by the water, ready to leap up and soar into the sky at any moment.
