The event will officially commence in the warm and bright spring days of March. First of all, we present to you the Garden Photography Exhibition, followed by a series of cultural experiences including Kunqu opera puppet performances, Song-style tea ceremonies, and garden study sessions.  

For this photography collection initiative, we will select fifty outstanding works to be showcased in the summer of 2023 at Daguan Garden. Selected photographers will enjoy complimentary stays in the serene gardenview room of Tongli Lakeview Hotel and receive a selection bonus. We are waiting for you to participate in this grand photography event!

Requirements for Photography Selection

1. Theme: Gardens & Art

Works should showcase the beauty of Suzhou-style gardens and their artistic and cultural essence through depictions of garden architecture and humanistic artistic creations.  

2.  Shooting Locations

Tongli Lakeview Hotel and the surrounding areas of Tongli Ancient Town.  

3.  Exhibition Details

Photo Collection: From now until May 5th

Judging Period: From May 6th to May 10th

Exhibition: From May 20th to August 31st

4. Selection Rewards

1 complimentary gardenview room voucher at Tongli Lakeview Hotel and a cash prize of ￥200 yuan for each selected work (single or series).

5. Submission Method

File Naming Format: Title + Author’s Name + Contact Number. The Email body must include the title of the work, shooting location, date of capture, as well as a brief description under 100 words, etc.

6. Work Requirements

① Content must be authentic, thematically aligned, positive and emotionally impactful.  

② Accept JPEG files only, minimum file size is 3MB, longest edge is 2000+ pixels, and the resolution ≥ 300 ppi. Unlimited submission, color, black-and-white, single or series (3-5) images are accepted.

7. Submission Rules

① Works must be original, submissions of others’ works are strictly prohibited.  

② Only basic adjustments are allowed, such as cropping, contrast, brightness, and saturation.

The prohibited edits include: compositing, adding or removing elements, color manipulation, watermarks or text overlays.  

Note: Submissions that fail to meet the above requirements will be deemed invalid.

The organizer reserves the right to submitted works for the photography exhibition promotional purposes, including but not limited to publication on WeChat, websites, and other platforms. The submitted works are used for promotion and display during the submission period does not guarantee final selection for the exhibition. Authors retain copyright and attribution right. The organizer holds the permanent usage rights. Selected participants grant the organizer permanent consent to management, use, and distribution of the works for exhibitions, publicity, publications and related purposes.

All submitted works must be independently created by the author, the author assumes full legal responsibility for any issues related to copyright, attribution, portrait rights, privacy, and other legal matters, the organizer bears no liability.

The organizer reserves the right to interpret all terms of this event. Participant shall agree to all stated rules and regulations. Submission constitutes voluntary acceptance of all terms above and compliance with legal obligations.
