Our Logo

The hotel logo features a fluid elliptical shape, the design harmonizes with the hotel's architectural exterior while evoking the liquid rhythm of Tongli Lake. This three-dimensional emblem embodies the poetic interplay between aqueous elements and built structures. The gold and silver color scheme generates striking visual impact and modern aesthetic, reflecting the hotel's commitment to excellence. We also add a Chinese calligraphy touch into the design, the soft curve and fluid stroke evokes the gentle elegance of Jiangnan culture.

Architecture Design- Jade Shape, Tulou (Earth Building) Structure, Dual-Tone

The main structure of the hotel is designed by Taiwan’s Wu Rui-Rong Architects & Associates. Using a few crucial concepts: The shape of jade and the structure of tulou (earth building) complex. The colors of the architecture mixed the Jiangnan gardens with old Shanghai villas.

Shape - Jade

Tongli's history dates back to 6,000 years ago. In the mid-1970s, archaeological excavations at the Songze Culture site near Jiuli Lake unearthed numerous jade artifacts, revealing that even in ancient times, Tongli was astonishingly prosperous.

The hotel takes its form from the jade jue—a semi-circular pendant with a notch, symbolizing Tongli’s cultural origins. As you wander through its spaces, you might almost hear the resonant songs of ancient ancestors, embodying the polished elegance of jade—a timeless tribute to humility and refinement.

Structure – Tulou (Earth Building)

The structure of Tongli Lakeview Hotel draws inspiration from Hakka tulou (earth buildings) in southern China, reimaging the architectural wisdom such as central axes, courtyards, and corridors while adapting them for modern practicality and aesthetics. The main Phase I building follows a circular tulou structure- the inner circle as public area like the lobby, restaurants, lifestyle clubs, boutiques, exhibition halls, and meeting rooms, while the outer circle as exquisitely hotel rooms. The newly completed Phase II building, shaped like a square tulou, complements the circular structure.

Designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Fujian’s Hakka tulou cluster represents one of the most iconic residential architectural marvels in China and the world. In modern society, communal living is increasingly rare. Through this design, we aspire to offer our guests a cohesive, family-like experience during their stay.

Color - White Wall, Gray Tile and Red Brick

As you traveling in Jiangnan, you will always be drawn into the elegant combination of the white wall, gray tile. Buildings in Jiangnan has always using this minimalism spirit to create harmony with the nature, which fully illustrates the philosophy of Jiangnan scholars in garden architecture - following the elegance and conforming to the time.

Tongli Lakeview Hotel is using these two minimalism colors, the top floor adopts such traditional basic tones of Jiangnan but the lower floors use specially customized kiln-fired bricks, which are similar to the fire bricks of many century-old Western-style buildings in the concession areas of Shanghai. This combination brings a visual freshness to guests staying at the hotel.
